I had a couple of days off and now have been back on guiding for 2 days.  My friend Jim G caught some great fish on the Clark Fork, we didn’t see another boat, and we had a blast.  We caught plenty of trout prior to a heat wave, and snuck off the river a little early after a stellar day.  He said it was one of his best days fishing he has ever had, and he has fished a lot, so that was cool!

Today I was on the Bitterroot with two guys who fished with us a couple of years ago.  Great guys again, we worked hard.  Stuck lots of trout but had to work for them.  Other than some family boaters enjoying a day splashing water, we had the river to ourselves again.  I never heard any complaints when the fishing was slower or when it got real hot, 100 degrees. We had another groovy day floating down these awesome Montana rivers.
