We had a good dry fly day on the Root. I had Jerry and Mike from WA, two guests/friends who have been fishing with us for a few years now. We floated the mid bitter root and it was cold but trout ate the small skwala pretty well. We had a mini snow storm hit us at the end of the day but we were all smiles from pretty good fishing and these guys are all smiles all the time any way.
The weather just got worse for the week but I guess we need some snowpack so here we go. I think I’ll bang down and float the Clark Fork in a couple of days, lower Root tomorrow I think. Hope to see you out there.
