Well we are day tripping to the Mo.  The Root blew out on Saturday so we took off to the Missouri in Craig MT and lit em up in nymphs.  It was as good as as I have seen the nymphing there in 12 years.  Lots of monster fish eating little pink nymphs.  The root should shape up later on this week but until then I will be 2 hours North East of Missoula where I have been guiding about 50 days a year the last 6 or 7 years.  It is a beautiful drive and dropping over Rogers Pass is always interesting, lets hope for lower winds!
I’ll give you a report later.  The skwala fishing was excellent on Friday on the upper bitter root near Darby.
Other news, we saw a family of river otters on the Root 2 days ago.  I’ve heard they are hell on trout but they are real cool to see and fun to watch and observe their goofy antics.

I think I am going to paint my boat flourescent orange with lightning bolts and pink hearts everywhere…………………………….April Fools!!
