We floated a few days recently and we’re pretty much ready to roll. Dropper fishing is good and surprisingly streamers have been getting bit even on sunny days. Patch sent me some pics of some adult skwala’s. Its Time!!!
My family and I took a quick trip to Idaho Falls Saturday to trade my drift boat in on a new one. On the way we spent the night at Jackson Hot Springs Resort. If you have to drive through the Big Hole and you guys get a chance, take your wife/girlfriend /significant other/ family, you know, to Jackson Hot Springs. They have a giant outdoor hot spring/pool. You can check out the stars and paddle around. The food is excellent and they have some comfortable, clean cabins to stay in that are affordable.
Today I spent most of the day going through my fly boxes. It is amazing how many flies I’ve held onto over the years thinking I might use these oddball weirdo bugs some day. Today I replaced most of those bugs that have sat in my boxes for years. Out with the old, in with the new, its hard to throw away flies that have been there forever but their legs are dried out and I don’t want to be on that show Hoarders!
Joe Cummings is guiding tomorrow and I start in a couple of days so I’m floating/fishing the next couple of days to work out any kinks. I’ll give you guys a report in a day or two.
