The upper bitteroot fished well yesterday on droppers, mostly stones and SJ worms. We stuck 8 or so browns and maybe 15 cutties and bows, a few on dries. The Missouri fished real well today below the dam on pinks czechs about 8 feet down under the indicator. Fish are transitioning out of the winter water to the quicker seam, they are in pre spawn mode fo Sho!

Hi there! Until we get together where would you suggest I walk& wade? Thanks in advance! Tight lines!🎣
Hey Bob, local wade fishing will probably be better near Darby, you could walkin at single tree across the tracks about two miles downriver of Darby, park on the hiway. Trout there will eat a single small skwala but a hair’s ear, size 10 rubber leg or a red or pink san juan worm about 3 ft under a big dry fly should work. You could drive up the west fork of the bitterroot it will be better later in the day once it warms up a bit
