Hi guys, I was able to get out today and do a short float on the Bitterroot with my wife. She hasn’t fished in a while but we are trying to change that and get our more often. It was fun just hanging out with her, and rowing down this river. She tossed the nymph rig around real nice, caught a few fish, and finally got on the river after the coldest winter in over 100 years in Montana. The trout all got off, but she landed a couple nice suckers.

It was 55 degrees today! The snow should melt fairly fast and the rivers will shape up nicely. The nymph fishing wasn’t bad, we saw a few flies out. The skwala hatch should get going in about a week. Great day to soak up some sun and enjoy the first day of spring.
