Good morning guys. I am watching the rain fall and the USGS graph go off the charts on the upper Bitterroot. Fly fishing guides keep a close eye on river flows. This year has been weird to say the least. I can think of a few more colorful adjectives to describe guiding the last 3 weeks but I’ll spare you the agony.

The main place we look is the Bitterroot at Darby. That gives us a good idea of what is happening on the West Fork and where the push of water is coming from. The good news is with rain bumps this time of year, it usually doesn’t take too long for the river to come back in shape and be fishable again.
Well I was supposed to guide the Root for a few more days but I have also made the pilgrimage to the Missouri often the last 20 years so what to do? Turn on XM radio and take a drive to Craiglandia to feel the tug of some big rainbows. Well “over the mountains and to the MO to catch rainbow trout we go” See yall East of Rogers Pass for a few days. Check out our elk burgers.
Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.| а
