I need to get my camera out more often. Today on the Root we observed a heard of elk with calves and one real nice bull. The bull had a good rack all ready in velvet of course. A mink, a pair of white-tail fawns, 6 white-tail bucks in velvet, countless eagles and osprey (they are always out there). Not a single drift boat other than mine, multiple 20 inch rainbows bending my guy’s fly rods. I also didn’t see wind gusts ripping down the water tearing trees and limbs into the river like yesterday.
