I fished with a good friend and client  Jeff early last  week  on the Mo for two days.  The fishing was real good the 1st day and better the second.  We caught 17 to 20 hot browns and rainbows  the 1st day.    Topped of the evening with a delicious late chicken dinner at the Frenchman in  Wolf Creek, and hit the Mo the next morning.
After sticking quite a few trout on the indicator rig I told Jeff   “I don’t know if we’ll get risers in this wind, but this is the part of the river where it will happen if it does.”  We stopped the boat and hung out for a 1/2 an hour above a bridge and noticed some big March browns, maybe #12’s, pushing down this bank into a shady spot on the mid river.  A couple of fish slammed the drakes and the dry game that I thought might not  happen was on.  Catching trout is fun on indicator rigs but a lot more fun on dry flies.  We  then went to work on the dries and caught a bunch on real fat 20 inch plus fish on the March browns and bigger skwala/ chernobyl stuff also.

The rest of the week I pounded out a few laps on  my MX bike at a local track  and later kinda  relaxed.  We shot some gophers on my son’s birthday on Saturday. Mothers day with my super wife, my kids, and my wive’s sister was a great end to an epic, all around chill,  A plus week!
